One of my favorite female singers. Smooth groove with nonchalent vocals and dark lyrics… You probably know her I’m the One LP…but The Perfect Release has not that electronic side, the sound is more intimate, something like Portishead from the 70’s ! “The Succubus” is a soft groovy ballad and “Survival” is a long breakbeat tune, with Annette talking on it. It is like rap / trip hop on sofa. Superb !
