Wow ! Double LP released on a cheap 70s series and featuring some of the best Belgian material by Nico Gomez, the Chakachas and El Chicles. First of all, and one of my personal favs, the beautiful vocal samba “Aquarela”. Then you have “A.I.E.”, an afro moogy tune, and “Babalu”, another nice samba with female vocals. And for the groove lovers : the tremendous “Soul Conga” written by J. Sluszny (of “Lord Funk” fame), a dope funky track with an afro-latin feel and J.B.’s sounding horns and wah wah. Also appearing here some Brazilian classics such as “Samba de uma nota so” with a wonderful jazz bossa feel.
