We had access to the wonderful EMI of India archives and we selected twenty-some rare tunes to build the soundtrack of a fake Bollywood movie : Charas Babu. The music ranges from psychedelic sitar groove to electroid disco, from meditation tunes with synthesizer to exotic jazz with soulful and sensual female vocals… Rahul Dev Burman, Kalyanji-Anandji, Usha Uthup, Asha Bhosle, Ananda Shankar, Charangit Singh, Hemant Bhosle or Bappi Lahiri are some of the artists involved here.
