Amazing album from the Peruvian diva Yma Sumac, here aged 50, released under the direction of the prodigious Les Baxter. This is her most pop & groovy album, by far. It includes the impressive “Azure Sands”, “Flame Tree”, “Zebra”, “Let Me Hear You” and “Tree of Life” have the same exquisite exotic funk sound. Still her incredible raw 5 octave voice ! Notice that “Tree of Life” has an interesting sampley intro. Last but not least, “Remember” is a heavy psych track ! US pressing, light ringwear.
